Summary:
True North’s parent company, Neel-Schaffer, Inc. has been the City of Deer Park’s contractor for debris monitoring services for fifteen years. The current agreement was executed on February 2, 2021 and can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties. The agreement would be extended until February 2, 2028.
The disaster debris monitoring agreement is due to be re-bid in 4th quarter of 2027.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The agreement would only be utilized during a disaster response requiring extensive debris monitoring and related emergency management consulting services. There is no annual fee.
Recommended action
Extend the current contract with True North Emergency Management, LLC (Neel-Schaffer) for Disaster Debris Monitoring and related Emergency Management Consulting Services until February 2, 2028.
