Title
Consideration of and action on the second addendum to the City’s agreement with Next Level Urgent Care (NLUC, PLLC), extending the City’s Next Level membership for 2027.
Body
Summary:
In November 2024, Council approved adding Next Level Urgent Care for insured employees to reduce non-urgent emergency room visits and lower the City’s loss ratio to help keep insurance rates low. At that time, the agreement was for one year.
At the regularly scheduled October 7, 2025 City Council Meeting, City Council approved the first addendum to the City’s agreement with Next Level Urgent Care to extend the partnership to a second year. At that time, Texas Health Benefits (TXHB) reached an agreement with Next Level to not include a 6% escalator at the time of renewal which was January 2026; therefore, the annual 2026 addendum reflected the same price of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per employee per month (PEMP) as the 2025 contract.
At this time, the City has received the third addendum to the City’s agreement with Next Level Urgent Care to extend the partnership to a third year at the same price of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per employee per month (PEMP).
Attached is the addendum with Next Level Urgent Care for Council’s approval.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds are budgeted and available in the General Fund.
