Consideration of and action on an ordinance calling a General Election on May 4, 2024 to elect three Council members and establishing two 12 hour early voting days.

Summary:
Council positions four, five and six are elected in even numbered years. In accordance with the City’s Charter and State law, an election must be ordered between the 78th and 103rd day before Election Day (May 4, 2024). Due to the Community Center construction project, Election Day will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers and early voting will be conducted, as normal, in the City Secretary’s office suite.

Estimated Cost is $10,000-$15,000. This is a budgeted item.
