Summary:
This tractor trailer is used to carry sludge waste from the Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Baytown landfill. The current trailer is a 2009 model that needs to be replaced due to wear and tear and metal fatigue. A total of $90,000 was budgeted for this purchase. We have a received a quote from Bruckner’s Truck Equipment in the amount of $76,752.00 through their Choice Partners cooperative purchasing contract #24/019TC-01. At this time, we seek Council’s approval to purchase the tractor trailer.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Funds were budgeted in the Wastewater Treatment Plant’s account 400-502-49070 to cover this purchase.
