Consideration of and action on acceptance of the completion of and release of retainage for the 2024-2025 Sidewalk Project.

Summary: 

The 2024-2025 Sidewalk Project consisted of the construction of new sidewalks, new and/or replacement of corner ramps in different parts of the City.

On May 5th, 2025, a Notice to Proceed was issued to HOG Construction Services, LLC for the construction of the 2024-2025 Sidewalk Project for $279,532.63.  Modifications (removal of certain sidewalks from the original scope and addition of other sidewalks and corner ramps) resulted in a slight lower final cost.  All final scope of the project has been completed and it has been inspected by the Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS).

The project is ready for Council acceptance and for the release of the retainage of $13,839.95.

 

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

The approved budgeted for this project was $375,000 in the CIP.  The awarded bid was $279,532.63, with the final cost being $276,798.88. 

 

Recommended action

Approve acceptance of the 2024-2025 Sidewalk Project and release of the retainage of $13,839.95.
