Summary:
The Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Improvements Fund Budget included funding for the Athletics and Aquatics Department to add a shade structure and replace concrete at the Avon Recreation Center. This would offer several benefits to citizens, including, safety enhancements, accessibility improvements, enhanced comfort and more shade. The budget estimate included $35,000.00 for these improvements; however, the total costs came in slightly higher at $35,753.00. Due to the overage, a budget amendment for $800.00 is necessary to fully fund this project for the Fiscal Year. The additional appropriation would be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the Capital Improvements Fund.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $800.00 to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Improvements Fund Budget for the Athletics and Aquatics Department (Account No. 090-434-49030, Improvements), to be funded by the unassigned fund balance of the Capital Improvements Fund, which is available for this purpose.
