Summary:
The Pasadena Blvd. water well site has three (3) booster pumps to help supply water pressure to the central and south areas of the city. Currently, the site has only one pump in service due to valves not seating fully on the other two pumps. The rehabilitation of the two pumps is a budgeted item and the work will be performed by Smith Pump Company, Inc. via their contract with the Buy Board (#770-25).
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
A total of $65,000 was budgeted in the Surface Water Treatment Plant’s operational budget, in account 400-503-49030 and the total proposed cost is $58,480.00.
Recommended action
Approve purchasing the services of Smith Pump Company, Inc. for the rehabilitation of two booster pumps at the Pasadena Blvd. water well site (Buy Board contract #770-25).
