Consideration of and action on accepting completion of the new Emergency Operations Center and Renovation to the Police Department Building.

Summary: 

On November 11, 2022, City Council awarded the contract for the new “Emergency Operations Center and Renovations to the Police Department Building”, to Durotech, Inc. in the amount of $6,990,000.00.  During the construction period there was a net change order addition of $140,308.37 making the revised contract amount $7,130,308.37.

Construction has now been completed with the final construction cost not to exceed $7,130,308.37.

 

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

The majority of this project was funded out of the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) budget with the remainder being funded out of the city’s Capital Improvement Fund. The final payment(s) are slated to come from the CCPD.

 

Recommended action

Accept completion of this project and approve final payment(s).
