Summary:
These funds will provide approximately 144 hours of impaired driving enforcement during four (4) holiday periods with the goal of reducing crashes involving impaired drivers during the time period of October 1, 2027, through September 30, 2028. The enforcement area will be city wide.
These funds will be used to provide additional impaired driving enforcement and public information and education in the City of Deer Park. TXDOT will provide approximately $13,442.08 for patrol officer or sergeant overtime salaries. The proposed grant is for a total of $13,442.08.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Fiscal year 2027 DWI STEP Mobilization wave grant will require no in-kind match from the City of Deer Park.
