Summary: 

The purpose of this MOU is to set out a common understanding of the policies and procedures that the Deer Park Police Department, and the Pasadena Police Department will follow in providing police service to Deer Park ISD schools located in the City of Pasadena, Harris County, Texas. This MOU also sets out a common understanding of the policies and procedures that the Deer Park Police Department and the Pasadena Municipal Court will follow when a recommendation of municipal charges are filed by a Deer Park Police Officer through the Pasadena Municipal Court. This MOU is a formal agreement to clarify jurisdiction, define parameters and areas of responsibilities, and to establish a spirit of cooperation to enhance the services that both agencies provide to the citizens residing within the city limits of Deer Park and Pasadena, Texas.

 

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

There will be no budgetary impact with the activation of the MOU.

Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Deer Park and Pasadena Police Department for police services at DPISD campuses within Pasadena city limits as well as including court services between the Deer Park Police Department and Pasadena Municipal Court for filing municipal charges.
