Summary:
On July 19, 2016, staff reported on the condition of the Chinese (Lacebark) Elms in Dow Park where Council directed staff to obtain a third party opinion to see if there is any possible solution to the condition besides removal. At the meeting, C.N. Koehl Urban Forestry, Inc. was recommended to provide the needed Urban Forestry services. Staff contacted Craig Koehl and contracted with him to provide a site visit, to review the condition of the elms, to collect all of the needed information and to prepare a finding and recommendation report.
