Title

Consideration of and action on a  recommendation to approve an agreement with PlayWell Group through the Buyboard Purchasing Cooperative Contract # 512-16 for Dow Park pavilion structures.

Summary: 

On February 16, 2016 the City Council Approved Task Order #2 with Halff Associates for the Dow Park Pavilion.  On June 9th a Public Meeting was conducted to get input from citizens on which of the two proposed concepts of the pavilion(s) the citizens preferred.  On July 25th the Deer Park Community Development Corporation recommended a final pavilion concept and then on August 2nd, the City Council approved the concept.  Since that time the architect, ad-hoc committee, and staff have been working with PlayWell to finalize the design of the pavilions.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

Funding will come from the dedicated one half of one percent sales and use tax for Type B projects, the Dow Park Pavilion has been appropriated $1,500,000 of the dedicated funds.

Recommended action:

Recommend approval to City Council for an agreement with PlayWell Group through the the Buyboard Purchasing Cooperative Contract # 512-16 for the Dow Park pavilion structures.
