Summary:
The City of Deer Park Parks and Recreation Department received eight (8) competitive bids for mowing and edging services on December 22nd. The Parks and Recreation Department is recommending to contract with Longclaw Contractors LLC, the lowest most qualified bid, to provide the mowing and edging services on specified medians, entrances and right of ways in Deer Park as listed below:
Area “A”
§ Medians on Center Street
§ Right-of-ways along the side of Center Street
§ Three (3) medians on Pasadena Blvd.
§ Left hand turn lane curbs on Center Street
§ Stormwater drain inlets on Center Street
Area “B”
§ Medians on 13th Street
§ Right-of-ways along 13th Street
§ Left hand turn lane curbs on 13th Street
§ Stormwater drain inlets on 13th Street
Area “C”
§ Medians adjacent to Hwy 225 on the Southside.
§ Right-of-ways along Frontage Road of Hwy 225 on South Side.
§ Medians adjacent to Hwy 225 on the Northside.
§ Four (4) large open area medians on Hwy 225.
§ Overpass areas North of Hwy 225
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The Park Operations Division has requested continued funding in the FY 2017 budget (410-4290) to contract the mowing and edging services on specified medians, entrances and right of ways in Deer Park.
410-4290 FY 2017 Requested contract labor for mowing services $77,000.00
