Summary:
The Destiny Detention Pond Rehabilitation project was awarded to Great Bear Construction for $58,436.12. This project involved the cleaning, regrading and stabilization of the detention ponds located at the corner of Catalina Ave. and Hillshire Dr. and also at the corner of Chandler Ln. and W. Pasadena Blvd. This work will greatly improve the functionality of the ponds and will ease the burden of their maintenance. The project has been completed and inspected by our city inspectors. The final cost for construction was $58,436.12. At this time staff is requesting that council accept completion of the project and authorize final payment to the contractor.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: This project was funded out of the Capital Improvements Fund 90-406-4914.
Recommended action: Accept completion of the project and authorize final payment to the contractor.
