Summary:
Ford AV is a commercial contractor for the design, installation, and service of sound, video, and lighting systems. They have been in the business since 1973, which amounts to more than 40 years’ experience under the same management. The City has used their services on many past projects including the recent Emergency Operations Center refresh. Their work has always been professional and their support outstanding.
The Director of IT Lewis and IT Business Analysis Kurtz along with the City Hall architect recently met with Ford AV and discussed the possibility of a design/build agreement to ensure all City goals would be met in the construction of the new City Hall. Attached is a proposal from Ford AV to provide audio visual design and consulting services for the new City Hall project. This proposal includes several services or deliverables to be provided by Ford AV which are listed as separate phases and disciplines. The cost of Ford AV’s services is $9,845.
The services provided in the agreement will be purchased through the Texas BuyBoard Cooperative, Contract #482-15, from Ford Audio-Video Systems LLC (Ford AV).
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: $9845.00.
Recommended action
Discuss the proposal from Ford Audi-Video LLC (FordAV) to provide design/build services for the new City Hall project. An action item is included on the January 17, 2017 Regular Council Meeting agenda.
