Summary: Bids for construction of subject project were received by the City Secretary until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016, and subsequently opened and read in public in the Mayor's office. Four bids were received on the project.

The low bidder has furnished a Bid Bond and references. The low bidder's references were examined and found to be in order. Therefore it is the Engineer’s recommendation that council award the bid for this project to Hi-Tech Electric Inc. based on their low bid of $45,010.00 and their proof qualifications. This amount was within the approved amount in the FY 2016-2017 Budget.

Funds for this project will be taken out of account # 40-506-4904
Recommended action
It is the recommendation of both Langford Engineering Inc. and the City of Deer Park’s Engineering Department that council award the Surface Water Treatment Plant Improvements- Replacement of Electrical Switchgear - B Project (# 3526-16) to Hi-Tech Electric Inc.
