Title
Acceptance of completion of 13th Street Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.
Body
Summary:
Langford Engineering was hired to perform the design and engineering services for the 13th Street Lift Station Rehabilitation Project. This consisted of a replacement of the piping for the lift station main header and suction lines in the wet well. The previous header and suction pipes had corroded causing several leaks and they needed to be replaced. Langford estimated this cost to be $110,000. They bid out the construction and N&S Construction submitted the lowest qualified bid.
Following Langford’s recommendation, on the January 3rd council meeting, the City awarded N&S Construction the bid on the 13th Street Lift Station Rehabilitation Project. The contract sum total for this project was $109,500.00.
The project has now been completed and staff is recommending that council approve payment to the contractor of $109,500.00.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
This project will be funded out of the Water & Sewer Fund Account 40-501-4410.
