Summary:
On January 16, 2017, the FCPEMSD Board approved a budget amendment to the FY 2016-2017 Deer Park Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District Budget in the amount of $62,000 for firefighting personal protective equipment (PPE). The FY 2015-2016 budget included a $70,000 expenditure for PPE, but the equipment ordered was not received until the current fiscal year. The current budget does not include the $62,000 needed to fund this PPE, but funding is available in the prior year revenues of the District.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Add $62,000 to the FY 2016-2017 Deer Park Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District Budget for firefighting personal protective equipment (Account #83-304-4314, Protective Clothing) to be funded by the prior year revenues of the District, which are available for this purpose.
Recommended action
Approve the budget amendment to the FY 2016-2017 Deer Park Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District Budget for firefighting personal protective equipment.
