Discussion on awarding a bid to Construction LTD for construction of the new city hall.

Summary: 

On December 15, 2016 the city received five bids for construction of the new city hall.  Construction LTD of Houston was the apparent low bidder at $6,121,000.  The bid included the base bid plus alternate 1 and is less than the architect’s estimate of $6,244,880.  The contractor estimates construction of the new city hall to take 400 calendar days. 

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

$7,000,000 allocated in Capital Improvement Fund 90-105-4902
