Summary: At the August 1st regular meeting Council considered referring the proposed ordinance to the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow the use of external shipping containers under certain conditions in the General Commercial zoning district.
The timeline to consider the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is as follows:
August 1: Council referral to P & Z
August 7: P&Z schedules a Preliminary Public Hearing
September 11: Preliminary Public Hearing. P&Z makes a report to Council.
September 19: Council considers report from P&Z and calls a Joint Public hearing with P&Z for October 17th
October 17: Council and P&Z conduct Joint Public Hearing. Council votes on Ordinance
