Summary:
At the November 7, 2017 Council workshop a proposal from Midtown Engineers, LLC for the design of a raised concrete right turn only (“Y” Shaped) island that will channelize east bound traffic from Railroad forcing a right turn only onto Center Street was discussed. The consensus was that staff would bring back a proposed contract with Midtown Engineers. The cost for Option 1 of the attached proposal for design, bid, and construction phase services is $19,152.00.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: Funds are available in the General Government Contingency 15-105-4510

Staff recommends the city enter into a contract with Midtown Engineers, LLC for $19,152.00.
