Title

Acceptance of completion for the Assessment of the City’s Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) Storm Sewer System.

Body

Summary:

The City has approximately 30,000 feet of corrugated metal storm sewer pipe (CMP) in the ground ranging in age from 18 to 63 years old that range in size from 18-inch diameter to 85x54 inch arch pipe.  As you recall, staff felt that several of the existing storm sewers could be rehabilitated in place using trenchless technology similar to what we are using to rehabilitate our sanitary sewer lines, but the assessment was necessary to determine the best method.  City Council approved the Buy Board purchase from Fuquay, Inc.  to evaluate 30,000 linear feet of CMP throughout the city at a cost of $241,900.00.    The project has been completed with the final cost coming to $235,126.00.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:

This project was funded out of 2007 General Obligation Bonds
