Summary: We are requesting authorization to seek bids for the removal of the sediment that is in the north lagoon cell (cell 1) at the water plant. The sediment needs to be removed and hauled to an appropriate accepting facility or land that can accept sludge on a beneficial use permit to give the plant additional space for sludge processing. The north lagoon is relatively dry and all three cells are at capacity.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
This project is funded through the account 40-506-4903 and is a budgeted expenditure for FY18-19.
Recommended action
Staff recommends authorizing staff to seek bids to complete the project.
