Title

Discussion of issues relating to the status of Type B projects for January - March 2019.

Body Summary:

Attached is the Type B Comprehensive Project Update that was submitted to and discussed with the Deer Park Community Development Corporation (DPCDC) Board of Directors at the April 22nd quarterly DPCDC meeting. Since the time that said project update list was submitted to the DPCDC Board we have had two (2) punch list walk-throughs with the contractor (Tandem Services), architect (Halff Associates) and City staff for the Girls Softball Complex Project. Attached is the punch list from the 1st walk-through conducted on April 22, 2019. The contractor has corrected most of the items on this list prior to the 2nd walk-through on May 1.  As a result of the 2nd walk-through, it is expected that the architect will issue a Substantial Completion letter on May 3, 2019 stating that the project is substantially complete with the exception of the fields for play.  Once the fields are deemed ready, the architect will make another visit to the site and if it is verified that the fields are ready for play, the architect will then issue a Substantially Complete letter for the fields.  If there are items that need to be addressed on the fields, the letter will include a punch list.  Upon completion of all punch list items, the contractor can request a Final inspection.  After the final inspection is completed and any deficiencies are corrected, the architect can issue the final acceptance letter and the contractor’s 1-year warranty period will begin.
