Summary:
With this action, Council is approving an assignment of contract of sale with Mr. Troy Cothran, and reimbursing related expenses of $4,000. The purpose of this is to accept via assignment the contract for the purchase of real property owned by Kit S. Maybin and Charles M. Maybin described as Lot 16A, Deer Park Overlots, Harris County, Texas. The City is interested in purchasing this parcel of property located at 518 E. Pasadena Boulevard for the purposes of one day constructing a new Fire Station #2.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The total cost is $4,000, which includes the option fee of $2,000 and earnest money of $2,000.
