Authorization to purchase a John Deere 310L Backhoe loader via the Buyboard Contract #515-18

Summary: 

This purchase will include a new John Deer 310L Backhoe Loader for the Park Operations Division. As approved during the FY 2019-2020 budget process, funds will be utilized purchase this piece of equipment to improve efficiency at various park locations around the city. In addition, the new equipment will have a backhoe attachment which will be essential for construction projects, demolition, planting large trees, trenching projects, large irrigation repairs and more.  This will eliminate the need for the Division to borrow or rent equipment when a front loader or backhoe is needed for jobs.

This purchase will be completed through Doggett Heavy Machinery utilizing the Buyboard Purchasing Cooperative Program (Contract #515-18).
