Summary:
City staff has received numerous requests from citizens to repave and repair the parking locate located on “P” Street located in Dow Park between Varnell Field and the Dow Park soccer fields. The City has repaired the parking lot several times in previous years, however, the facility has reached a point that total repaving is warranted.
The project was budgeted $100,000 in FY 18-19 in the Capital Improvements Fund. Due to rehabilitation of the adjacent water storage tank, it was determined that the projected be re-budgeted for FY19-20 so that damage would not occur to the parking lot during the water storage tank rehabilitation project. $100,000 was re-budgeted in FY 19-20 Capital Improvements Fund to complete the repaving of this parking lot.
The City has completed plans and received a proposal from SKE Construction to repave the parking for $68,024.48 via the Buyboard Contract 520-16. Scope of the work includes, but not limited to, asphalt removal, re-milling, additional material, application of a layer of asphalt paving, and striping.
