Summary:
HB 1 requires a City to provide an Election Day precinct polling location for school and college districts located within the corporate limits of the city. As such, we contract annually to provide a location for their election(s) on Election Day by providing a room at the Deer Park Community Center, 610 East San Augustine Street, for set up on Friday evening preceding Election Day and from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Election Day.
As of now, the school district has no candidate application to be placed on the ballot. The applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. today. Council can table this item if they if no applications are received.
