Acceptance of completion and retainage release for SKE Construction for the repaving of the Dow Park Parking.

Summary:
The Dow Park project was budgeted $100,000 in FY 18-19 in the Capital Improvements Fund. Due to rehabilitation of the adjacent water storage tank, it was determined that the projected be re-budgeted for FY19-20 so that damage would not occur to the parking lot during the water storage tank rehabilitation project. $100,000 was re-budgeted in FY 19-20 Capital Improvements Fund to complete the repaving of this parking lot.
The City has completed plans and entered into an agreement with SKE Construction on February 28, 2020 to repave the parking for $68,024.48 via the Buyboard Contract 520-16. Scope of the work included, but not limited to, asphalt removal, re-milling, additional material, application of a layer of asphalt paving, and striping.
The Dow Park Parking project has been substantially approved for completion and therefore we are releasing the final payment and retainage.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
The Dow Park Parking project was $64,623.26 minus the retainage and the project was completed on time. The balance to finish plus the retainage to complete the project is $3,401.22. The total completed project is $68,024.48 and is funded by the FY 19-20 Capital Improvements fund.
