Consideration of and action on restricting public access to the pedestrian bridge that connects the Deer Meadows Section 3 Subdivision to Deer Park High South Campus.

Summary:
On March 3, 2020, City Council held a Public Hearing on this matter. Residents spoke both in favor of, and in opposition to, restricting public access to the pedestrian bridge. On Tuesday evening during Council Workshop, Council will discuss this further with each other and City staff. During the Council Meeting that follows, if Council so desires you may take a vote to restrict public access to this bridge. On the other hand, no action is necessary if Council desires to leave open pedestrian access to the bridge.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
If access is to be denied, funds will need to be allocated to establish fencing to remove access to the bridge.
