Consideration of and action on authorization to purchase from Vaught Services, LLC (A Vortex Companies) through the TIPS Cooperative Purchasing Program to perform the Sanitary Rehabilitation of the Erin Glen Subdivision and the Emergency Repair of Sanitary and Storm Pipe on Pasadena Blvd and Dowling Circle.

Summary:
The project will consist of Pipe bursting approximately 6000 LF of 6” sanitary pipe in the Erin Glenn Subdivision and rehabilitation of the manholes. In addition to this work, Vaught will pipe burst a 24” Sanitary line and a 36” storm line that was found to be failing during emergency repairs at Pasadena Blvd and Dowling Circle intersection. The original emergency repair found more damage than previously known, including ground water penetration and quick sand. A different type of repair is needed in order to permanently repair the damage. The cost of the project totals $1,124,887.46. The project will be paid through the CIP water/sewer funds ($970,887.46) and Drainage bonds ($154,000.00).
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
This project is funded through the CIP Water/Sewer (Fund 512) and bonds, Series 2005 (Fund 303), which were issued in part for streets and related drainage.
