Title
Acceptance of completion of Maxwell Subdivision and X Street Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.
Body
Summary:
The project consisted of pipe bursting 5,334 Linear Feet of 8” sanitary sewer in the Maxwell Subdivision and X Street main sewer line. These sanitary lines were in a degraded condition and needed to be rehabilitated due to severe line breaks and collapses. During the project it was found that an additional 1766 LF needed to be rehabilitated in the neighborhood. The scope was expanded in order to accomplish this needed repair. This project was part of our ongoing mission to rehabilitate the City’s sewer system to reduce water infiltration that can cause severe strain on the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The services purchased of Vaught Services through the Buy Board totaling $411.447.92. Due to the expanded scope of additional footage there were overages on the project for additional 8” pipe-bursting and associated service lines. The total for the overages is shown in a balancing change order in the amount of $102,831.30. The project’s total cost is $514,279.22. The project has been completed and is ready for Council acceptance.
