Consideration of and action on an ordinance approving revisions to the Part Time Employee Pay Range Charts of the City of Deer Park.

Summary: 

On September 21, 2021 the City Council adopted the FY 2021-2022 Classification Scales and Pay Range Charts for Classified Full Time Staff, Leadership, Grandfathered Staff, Part Time (Non-classified Staff) and Temporary (Non-classified Staff). 

The Part-Time pay scale is being adjusted to include a classified role of Part-Time Electrical Inspector.  We would like to add this position to Grade 14, which is the highest pay grade on the part-time scale.  This position will require a certified Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

With the City being almost completely, residentially, built out we no longer require the services of a full-time inspector.

Part-Time Pay Grade 14 already exist on the current pay scale however, the only classified role listed for that pay grade is that of the part-time surveyor.  We would like to add the electrical inspector position to this grade as well.

Fiscal/Budgetary Impact: 

No impact.  The current pay scale grade, already exist.

Approval of the ordinance.
