Summary:
The Volunteer Fire Department has 99 each APX model radios that are no longer in service and have been replaced in the past few years with improved technology and there is no longer a need to retain them in inventory.
Matagorda County, Information Services Supervisor, has expressed the desire and appreciation to receive the radio equipment. This equipment would be used by first responders in Matagorda County, Bay City and Palacios Police Departments.
A previous transfer/donation of radio equipment was approved in January 2024 for the Police Department.
The anticipated amount to be realized if the items were placed in auction is minimal.
