Summary:
Jeffery Johnson was the Tax Assessor/Collector since September 2006 and just recently retired from the city. Finance department posted the position and conducted interviews. The City Manager has offered this position to Stephanie Register and she has accepted it with an effective date of March 18, 2024. She has been holding this position as interim since Mr. Johnson left.
This appointment is now being submitted for Council confirmation.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
Ms. Register will be moved up to the appropriate salary level per the approved salary plan structure.
