Summary:
On September 12, 2021 we received three (3) competitive sealed proposals for construction of the Hike and Bike trail from X street to P street. The City of Deer Park in partnership with Burditt and Associates to develop specifications and construction documents for work in this section of the comprehensive Hike and Bike Trail project.
Funds were approved for this project by the voters at the 2015 Type B election as more specially described in the proposition ballot language and in the amount of $500,000. The current fund balance is $413,992.51
After review of the proposals by City staff, Hike and Bike Trail committee member, and Burditt and Associates staff and, it has been determined that Moran Construction, LLC is the recommended construction company. The recommendation is to award the proposal at a cost of $393,287.50 with no add alternate awarded.
