Summary:
The purpose of this item, is to request authorization to seek bids for new construction of a Hike and Bike trail.
The City of Deer Park in partnership with Burditt Consultants, LLC. have been working to develop a specifications for construction documents to begin construction on the Type B Hike and Bike Trail. Construction of this trail will include, but not limited to the following:
• Grading and compacting of trail path
• Installation of decomposed granite
• Installation of site amenities
This project was identified as one of seven approved projects in the 2015 Type B dedicated sales tax election that was voted for by Deer Park residents.
Fiscal/Budgetary Impact:
$500,000 Type B dedicated sales tax account
